Resurrection Eggs
We are blessed that our church has an adjacent bookstore, which is where I found our family's resurrection egg kit last year. Many of the families at our church use these eggs as a sort of "Easter Advent." Each egg, there are 12 in a kit, has a symbol of Good Friday and/or Easter and the verses from the Bible that go with the story--ex. nails, cross, coin, rock, or a spear (you can see a fuzzy little spear up above). You can go online and purchase a kit for about 13 dollars at dealers such as Christianbook.com. Here is a direct link to the product. Amazon was at least 16 dollars, so Christianbook.com was a good deal.
I also found a great website that helps you MAKE your own resurrection egg kit. It tells you the 12 symbols and easy ways to put that symbol in a plastic egg. It also lists the scripture and story that are covered with each symbol/egg. You can read how to make your own resurrection egg kit here.
We have been BUSY this week, but I just made a trip to Michael's and hope to have a new Easter craft project done in the next couple of days. Have a blessed week!

Wow, this is a great idea! What a great Easter tradition! My family has been trying to start our own Easter tradition by reading from our fire bible global study edition once a day for the week leading up to Easter Sunday. Thanks for the great idea!
