Friday Favorites 3-17-11 Easter Inspiration

I'm still a little early, since Easter isn't until April 24th this year.  However, I love Easter, and I want you all to have time to craft and decorate BEFORE Easter gets here.
I was searching for Christian specific crafts that celebrated Easter--not just bunnies and eggs, though there are some darling egg and bunny crafts out there, as you can see.
Remember, though, we can add scripture to many craft ideas and make them perfect pieces to spur conversation or just remind us and our family of what Christ did for our sins.

The Sweet Survival made the most beautiful yarn egg wreath. I love how the yarn pattern varies on each egg. You have to see her beautiful pictures and look at the post!

My Garden of Eden made jellybean topiaries.  Perhaps making jellybean art will use up all our jellybeans and keep me from eating jellybeans this Easter, but, then again, maybe staring at jellybean decorations will make me crave jellybeans.  Hmmm . . . What is a girl to do?

With Joy had a butterfly themed party for her daughter's birthday.  I love the theme of butterflies at Easter--such a symbol of rebirth and new life in Christ!  Did anyone else grow up listening to Bullfrogs and Butterflies when they were little?--of course mine was a record (does that make me old)?  Look at these pictures if you are hosting Easter this year.  You are sure to get inspired by all the beautiful decor and butterflies.

Krafty Kat made some beautiful faux chocolate eggs and created an amazing topiary.  What a beautiful centerpiece for an Easter table.  Reading this post made me hungry. IMG_1513

2 Little Hooligans featured a guest post from Me Sew Crazy, who created a beanbag toss game using stuffed beanbag rabbits.  Seriously cute.  My little guys would love this.  I loved how she used Easter baskets as the "bucket".

A Diamond in the Stuff made Easter themed Apothecary Jars.  Her jars are homemade from jam jars, and she gives the link to her tutorial.  I love the nest/egg theme and I love the colors--robin's egg blue is such a perfect spring color!

Auntie Lolo crafts made an adorable button egg artpiece and felt bunnies.  I like the combination of chocolate brown and pink.

Mom's Crafty Space made marbled eggs with her kids.  This craft is family friendly, and I would love to do this and add some scripture onto the eggs.  I love her final centerpiece display--what a cute idea for the kitchen table as Easter is approaching!

Agape Love Designs is providing free printables for Easter.  She has the shape of the cross with scripture of the resurrection.  It comes in multiple pastel colors--choose which one you like best in your home.  There is nothing better than God's Word to remind us of truths each day!
