Valentine Banner: Wrapping Paper Project

Well, the stomach flu finally entered our house.  Tuesday morning, my 4 year old woke up at 5 with a stomach ache, and by 6 he was over the toilet getting sick.  God was gracious, and he only got a light case of it.  By lunch, he stopped vomiting, and he was eating like I hadn't fed him in a week.

However, now we are quarantined at home for a bit.  Most people don't realize this, but after you have the stomach flu, you are contagious from 3 days to a week AFTER the symptoms stop.  My rule is to keep my kids away from other kids (out of school and church kids' ministries) for a week after the stomach flu.  It is just the nice thing to do.

So, while C watched movies and drank Pedialite, I used my left over Valentine's Day ribbon and wrapping paper to make a banner for the playroom.  I glued the wrapping paper to plain cardstock to make it sturdier, and then I added coffeefilter "flowers" with the same wrapping paper glued inside.  It was not a major project by any means, but it was something to do while I camped out at home with my sickie.

Oh, and just so you know, this is what a playroom becomes when you have two active boys stuck inside with you all day.  At least cleaning the playroom will keep them busy for awhile later this afternoon.
