Dinosaurs, Bugs and Ice Cream . . . Oh, My!

I love to make gifts for a baby shower.  This mom is having her second boy, so she didn't want any big gifts.
This was perfect, as I love ironing fun designs in colorful fabric on baby onesies.
I don't have any die cutting machines or fancy programs, so I looked up good ol' clip art on my word program.
The only shirt that might need explanation is the cockroach one . . . yes cockroach.  I was looking up boy stuff and typed in "bugs."  It was such a good silhouette of a bug, and I knew that the cute polka dot fabric would baby it up and just make it quirky and fun.  I think it is my favorite of the three!

  1. I would have never known it was a cockroach--I love it the best, too, but they're all precious!

  2. I wouldn't have thought it was a cockroach either...I was thinking beetle. I thinks it's adorable!

  3. Cute! So you made the patterns on the templates within the clip art and then printed them out in color and ironed them on? So easy for such a cute result!

  4. Shannon--I am not even that talented--LOL. I printed out a clipart I liked on printing paper, cut that out and traced it onto fabric with the iron on adhesive. I cut out the shape on the traced fabric and ironed it on! : )Someday I'll buy the Silhouette--birthday present maybe!

  7. I need to thank you for using clipart and tracing. I get so bummed every time anyone has a post or tutorial that uses a Silhouette because I know that I won't be able to replicate it. So thanks! :) This, however, I can do! Perfect!
